向纯粹的教师，致敬！

“古之学者必有师。师者，所以传道授业解惑也。”

习其道、学其言、效其行。老师对我们一生的影响足以深入灵魂，在我们心中种下的那颗“种子”始终在心灵深处绽放，未来的某一天终将结出最绚烂的花朵最丰硕的果实。

老师就是这样一群人，是除家人以外教会我们最多道理的人，会因我们每一次小小的进步而雀跃，满怀期待地看着我们成长。孜孜不倦，指引着我们人生的方向。洒下些许阳光，足以温暖半生。

值此教师节到来之际，我们特意邀请了“全国教书育人楷模”、连元英禾双语学校总顾问沈茂德先生，向全体教育工作者们送出诚挚的节日寄语，向有责任、有情怀、有热爱、有丰富内心的教师们致敬，更祝所有的老师们，教师节快乐！

几十年的教育实践，我得出这样一个结论：一所好的学校，不仅在学生心中，在家长心中，其实，好的学校，更在教师手中！

After decades in education, I have come to the conclusion that a good school is not only in the hearts of students and parents. Good schools are, in fact, in the hands of teachers!

纯粹的教师，他的品质叫责任

教师的岗位有大责任，因为孩子们的名字叫明天，校园生活里，每一个平凡的日子，想起责任，我们自然剔除了烦躁的杂质。用全部的激情去影响和铸成孩子们有品质的人生，就是教师的崇高。

Teachers have great responsibility, because children are the future. In school and everyday life, it is our responsibility to remove any impurities and use our passion to influence children's personal qualities and their lives.

纯粹的教师有大情怀

学校是孩童最先、最深体验到的“社会”。教师则是这个“社会”中点燃价值火把的人。真、善、美，所有的判断都在教师的一言一行中流露出来，形成学校的空气，形塑着孩童敏感的心灵。日积月累，就构成了社会价值观的底色。

School is the first and most important ‘society’ that children experience, and teachers are the ones who ignite the torch of value. Truth, goodness and beauty are revealed through a teacher's words and deeds, creating a school’s atmosphere and shaping the sensitive minds of its children. Over time, this becomes the foundation of social values.

中外优秀教师的共同品质都是极端宁静的。享受海量的阅读，置身于与学生思想互动的课堂，每天面对蓬勃生长的学生，幸福就在这样宁静的氛围中弥漫开来……

Both Chinese and international teachers share the virtue of being calming influences on their students. They enjoy reading and creating classroom environments that nourish students' minds and help them flourish. Happiness is spread in such calming atmospheres.

纯粹的教师就是一本书

与学生相处，最重要的是能走进学生的内心。“一旦学生内心接受了你，你就成了真正的老师。”优秀的中外教师都是行走在校园内的教科书，这本书的扉页上写着“学为人师，行为世范”，这本书的每一章分别镌刻着责任、爱心、耐心、呵护、陪伴、帮助……

In order to get along with students, it’s crucial to be able to win over their hearts:" Once a student accepts you, then you become a real teacher.” Excellent teachers are a book that walks on their students. They enjoy reading and creating classroom environments that nourish students' minds and help them flourish. Happiness is spread in such calming atmospheres.

我们应该永远铭记：教师职业平淡，但在你的手中是许许多多正在成长的生命，每一个都如此不同，每一个都如此重要，全部对未来充满着憧憬和梦想，他们都依赖你的指引、塑造及培育，才能成为最好的个人和优秀的公民。

We should always remember that even though teaching is a commonplace profession, there are many developing lives in your hands. Every one of those lives is so different, each one so important. Each life is full of vision and dreams for the future. They all rely on your guidance. It is your responsibility to shape, nurture and support students to become the best individuals and good citizens.
